latest weekly update
about 6 years ago – Wed, May 02, 2018 at 11:33:14 PM

Hello guys, here is where we are:

US Starter Pack is now missing only the packaging sleeve, print proof has been sent in, should be in next week for checking, if it is ok will do a full print run and start wrapping these up!

rulebook: only a few diagrams left now, should send in the print proof next Monday

German Starter Pack: still waiting for the 3D prints. Last week was Liberation Day (25th of April) and the 1st of May was Worker's Day, so most of the country has been off and is just going back to work today... anyway as soon as we get them will rocket them in production as it is the last thing missing before shipping wave one!
Don't know you but I'm really looking forward to this now!

Cheers,
Claudio

 Hi guys!
Quickly update on where we are now:

The dices arrived today and they are fabulous!

With this we have all the components for the US Airborne starter pack, I'm painting the samples for the box art (as you can see above), will do a test print for the box next week and if it's all ok should start packing them the week after that.

Rulebook as above (test print by next week, production run within a few days after we get that).

Unfortunately it looks like we did run into another bump for the German pack though, the 3D print service we have used until now has informed us that the machine we normally use is offline for some upgrading work. They offered us to print the missing figure on another (new) machine that use a slightly different process but that they think should give at least as good results, we obviously agreed... That was last week, so we're waiting for this test print any day now... in the meantime I've contacted several other services to have an alternative on hand in case that didn't work out as well as we all hope. Not much luck until now though, it turns out that there is the Milan yearly design fair going on for the next couple of weeks (that is a major international event) and apparently they are all attending! In any case I'm looking at still more services and I'm confident it is a matter of days until we get this sorted...

Bottom line: if you are waiting only for the rulebook and / or the US Starter Pack your reward should start ship in 2-3 weeks now, everyone else will probably have to wait a further week or two, but we are nearly at the end of casting and production and wrapping up time is coming!

Will post a new progress update next week!

Cheers,

Claudio

Dice have shipped!
about 6 years ago – Fri, Apr 06, 2018 at 01:45:09 AM

Weekly update (well, almost weekly!) :

Dice are on their way from Australia as I type. All resin is in stock, except for the (now nearly finished) last piece. All figures are in production, again except for the one we had to redo. The final version of the rules is being proofread now. I'm working on the box art. Everything else is ready!

 Cheers!

dice, gods and generals

Hi Guys,

just got great news from Adam, the dice are ready and on their way to him and I hope you'll agree they look very good indeed! As soon as he gets them he'll ship to us, so we are looking at 3-4 weeks for that.

Meanwhile the rulebook with all the new stuff in has gone beyond what is possible to deal with stitch binding, and I really dislike glue ligatures as they tend to break over time. Consequently we decided to split it into two separate volumes. The "core rules" book include everything that was initially planned for the campaign and plenty more, closing at about 60 pages instead of the original 40! It will ship with wave one to everyone who ordered the rulebook in their pledge.
Everything else, which basically include all the rules for using the new weapons unlocked, like heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, bazooka, panzerfaust, etc. plus a primer on vehicles, rules for incendiaries and quite a bit of other extras, will be in a separate "advanced rules" book which is about the same size of the core rules itself and will ship with the second wave, free, to everyone who ordered the relevant figures.

Both rulebooks are finished and ready to go to print as I type, except for a part of the example's images on which I'm working right now.

We also found out that one of the German figures had a design flaw (my fault) that does not allow for it to cast properly, so it had to be redone. the replacement for it it's now been 3D printed and a new mold should be ready around the end of the month.

Other than the above the only thing left to do is to finish the artwork for the boxes, for which I'm afraid we'll have to wait for the replacement figure to be ready... everything else is either already in stock or in production now.

Because of the dependencies above it's still difficult to give a definite shipping date but from now on I'll be posting weekly updates to let you know what is happening!

Really looking forward to get this wrapped up now as I'm itching to start working on the next scenario!! Speaking of which, what would you be more keen on: Market Garden or Italy 43?

nearly there!

Hi all, apologies for the silence!
currently wrapping up the rule book that has become a 80+ pages monster with all the extra rules for heavy weapons, vehicles and AT weapons, plus a deluge of examples and explanatory diagrams... coming up well anyway, will post some page preview ASAP!
Also painting up the samples for the box art etc. and speaking of that, I just got this first look from Paolo for the pre-painted sets:

Will start posting pictures of my painted figures too soon, and we've got 3 of the extra figures (on top of those in the starter packs) nearly ready to go to print!

Cheers,

Claudio
